Have Your Say on the Draft Public Spaces By-law!
The Municipality of French River is seeking public feedback on the Draft Public Spaces By-law, which establishes clear rules for how public areas, parks, wharfs, and swimming areas are used and maintained.
The goal of the By-law is to ensure that all public spaces remain safe, clean, and accessible for everyone to enjoy. It also provides a framework for events and organized activities to use municipal spaces responsibly, while preventing unsafe or disruptive behaviour in shared areas.
Here’s what the proposed By-law covers:
- Keeps public spaces safe and clean
- Allows events with municipal permission
- Protects public swimming areas
- Clarifies wharf and boat launch use
How to Participate:
1) Read the Draft By-Law: Draft Public Spaces By-law
2) Complete the short online survey to share your feedback. Public Feedback Survey
Feedback will be accepted until December 6, 2025. After this date, staff will compile a report for presentation to Council.
